.as a *senior engineer- global automation & innovation* at syncreon you will be responsible for supporting the company's future and existing operations around the world.
you will be responsible for ensuring that technologies and processes are running as planned, having access to all tools, and collaborating with solution and site teams.
you will also help lead and shape the design of our solutions as someone with a strong technical background in warehouse automation, and you will have a significant impact on our technology and engineering decisions.
you will assist us in developing a strong culture, facilitating automation implementation, and working with us to constantly improve the way we work.
in this *remote *position, you will be assisting our global solutions team with automation and implementation.
*about the role*:*how you will contribute*- demonstrated ability to design and create automation solutions for warehouses.- collaborate with internal stakeholders (operations, it, procurement, etc.)
to analyze/document business and operations requirements.- work with the solutions engineering team and third-party integrators to design automation into future solutions in response to customer requests for proposals (rfps), and be able to challenge integrators from the concept to the design level.- work as a liaison between vendors and the full cross-functional project teams while engaging and managing vendors for technical elements of projects from the conception phase through the execution phase.- gather, review, and analyze logistic and operational system data, which requires a working knowledge of logistics and scm principles and best practices.- creation of equipment specifications based on material, compliance, and system operator / user requirements.- able to perform solution development, solution implementation, and solution go-live for supply chain automation projects.- act as a recognized engineering technology specialist for warehouse automation equipment such as pna, sortation, amr's, goods-to-person, asrs's, robotics, acr, computer / machine vision equipment and so on, with overall responsibility for developing design methodologies in this area.- capable of comprehending and adhering to syncreon it standards when designing new system architectures and installing equipment and control systems such as building automation systems, data systems, process control, dcs, wcs/wes, and wms.- strong understanding of machine controls, including plcs from well-known manufacturers like allen bradley and siemens, as well as hmi/scada systems like wonderware, panelview, and other similar devices.- strong understanding of ot and it systems and their convergence.- enthusiasm and passion for improving, simplifying, and automating warehouse processes.- demonstrate ability to mentor, teach, and educate team members on automation ideas and their essential design requirements
