Leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies. Frequently represents the organization to external customers/clients. Exercises significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives. May provide mentoring and guidance to lower level employees.
responsibilities:
* manages and leads a program involving multiple functions and project teams to drive the engineering development and implementation process for a product or service offering.
* develops and directs development of schedules, critical deliverables, budget, resource allocation plan, and other support requirements for assigned program.
* manages activities of supporting project teams and internal development partners; ensures progress against established plan and makes determinations based on analysis of business information to alter or update schedule and resource allocation to meet product requirements and development schedule.
* communicates program progress, escalations, and issue analysis to product stakeholders; collaborates with management and internal manufacturing and development partners to recommend and implement changes to product, processes, or business practices to resolve escalated issues, produce solutions, and ensure adherence to budgets and established product roadmaps and schedules.
* drives innovation and integration of new technologies and quality initiatives into projects and activities in the manufacturing and/or engineering organization.
* leads and provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members.
* establishes it processes which are consistent with overall organization objectives.
* support of it processes related to global regulatory and compliance including development of project plans, milestone planning and resource alignment for global regulatory and compliance program.
* identify, track and monitor risks and issues for the program.
* represent global regulatory and compliance in discussions and negotiations with company stakeholders.
* build and maintain strong partnerships with key tactical leaders and business implementation leads. Uses deep business knowledge of multiple businesses or sub-domains to drive engagement for major it initiatives. Influences overall it and business planning; engages in strategic business planning where there is it impact.
* represents the needs of the business, function, or geography on an ongoing basis to maintain consistent plans between it and the business.
* identifies areas where the business, function, or geography can take advantage of standard it solutions and drives for adoption of standard solutions.
* actively participates in it projects to ensure that business, function, and geography "customers" are included appropriately and ensures that they receive sufficient and timely communications.
* build and maintain a working relationship with corporate development team responsible for overall program integration, including attending governance meetings, completing required templates, and ensuring hp leadership is aware of broader program details.
* as required, partner with external vendors/parties to ensure successful integration; could be deloitte, sap etc.
* proactively identifies solutions to meet business objectives, taking into account the implications of change on the organization and all stakeholders, and impact to key program timelines.
* using own initiative to develop or improve project management processes and tools. Ensure project tools, best practices and lessons learned are documented.
* work with team to identify lessons learned and process improvements to support continuous improvement of global regulatory and compliance infrastructure.
* support and/or own global regulatory and compliance capability building projects including development of training materials, playbooks, templates, etc.
* coordination of financial and operational information throughout all stages of the program.
* configuration of the service now platform as needed. Keep abreast of new servicenow capabilities and recommend adoption as appropriate.
education and experience required:
* bachelor's or master's degree in business management, engineering, computer sciences, or equivalent.
* pmp/pmi certification preferred.
* typically 6-10 years experience.
knowledge and skills:
* extensive experience with using project and program planning tools and software packages to create, manage, and track project results.
* excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
* demonstrated business acumen and successful experience managing all aspects of programs, including communicating with stakeholders and directing matrixed teams and resources.
* excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in english and local language.
* ability to effectively communicate program plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options at senior management levels.
