*contract electrical engineer*:the contract electrical engineer is responsible for electrical analysis, detailed design, and control, as well as overall electrical performance of air
*how you will do it*:
- investigates and analyzes product design proposals on electrical power panels, control panels, variable speed drives and wire harnesses in accordance with ul, nec, csa, and ce codes, then recommends solutions.
- proficient in electrical design and able to conceptualize and implement design ideas into the product.
- develop innovative designs and solutions for custom (built to order) hvac equipment based on customer specific requirements.
- assist with evaluation of vendors and new components.
- proficient at preparing, checking, and coordinating the release of documentation to support designs.
- responsible for the accurate completion of projects.
- proficient at selecting the most suitable electrical components.
- design electrical wiring schematics and control requirements for products.
- expertise and applies regulatory codes such as ul, nec, csa, and ce codes a plus.
- strives for continuous improvement and teamwork in a global product development and process environment.
- responsible for engineering drawings including electrical schematics, bill of materials.
- experience with mechanical systems and material resource planning (mrp) software also a plus.
- adheres to the company's code of conduct and business ethics standards.
*what we look for*:
- bs in electrical engineering or related field; minimum of 6 years' experience.
- experience designing industrial products (engineer to order, applied, or 'made to order' environments)
- experience with bill of material structures and databases.
- concise and clear written and oral communication skills.
- ability to work in a fast-paced, schedule driven, team-oriented environment.
- understands chiller controls.
- familiarity with hvac systems and motor driven mechanical engineering design and test is helpful.
- travel domestically and internationally required (up to 10% of time)
