The bookkeeper oversees the corporations' financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations.
the bookkeeper will perform daily accounting tasks such as monthly financial reporting, general ledger entries, and record payments and adjustments.
under the supervision of the executive director, the bookkeeper will perform payroll and hr duties.
the bookkeeper will maintain all necessary and appropriate records, files, and processes to ensure the smooth and compliant financial operation of the organization, focusing on accuracy and transparency.
*responsibilities*:- record and prepare bank deposits- reconcile bank accounts monthly- prepare and submit bi-weekly payroll- complete and submit payroll tax filings and payments monthly, quarterly, and annually- maintain financial records and filing- monitor cash flow and cash management- prepare year end information for the accountant- prepare audit documentation as required- perform other duties as assigned by supervisor*qualifications*:- minimum of a bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience.- must possess knowledge of bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles.- must possess good working knowledge of quickbooks.- strong organization and time management skills are needed.- should have excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.- solid organizational and computer skills including working knowledge of microsoft office needed.- ability to handle demanding situations in a professional, courteous and friendly manner.
