This role demands an experienced professional in software development to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and advance software solutions. You will collaborate with both internal and external teams to oversee project priorities, deadlines, and outcomes. Additionally, you will mentor junior software engineers, overseeing their code reviews and fostering the growth of their technical skills.
about the role
in this opportunity as senior software engineer .net expert, you will:
1. design, develop, implement and maintain .net programs, fe and be, and enhancements to meet business requirements.
2. analyze and optimize existing .net code for performance, maintainability, and scalability.
3. collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts and product owners to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
4. participate in the entire software development life cycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
5. provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior .net developers.
6. ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and .net development guidelines.
7. troubleshoot and resolve issues related to .net applications.
8. stay up-to-date with the latest .net technologies, tools, and industry trends.
9. participate in internal team and status meetings, in project planning sessions with team members to analyze development requirements, provide design options, and provide work breakdown and estimates of work.
10. research and identify new software technologies that can be leveraged to improve application performance and development efficiency, reducing cost and maintaining quality, working closely with development leads.
11. develop full stack, high resilience, low latency information management, and processing system in the tax and legal worlds.
12. provide creative and elegant solutions to complex problems.
13. participate in software releases.
14. work together with your team and other teams to deliver high-grade, performant, well-documented, and resilient features.
15. work together with the quality assurance team to prepare test plans/test cases and define test execution methodology and perform tests.
16. identify and fix defects.
about you
you’re a fit for the role if your background includes:
1. bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
2. minimum of 5 years of experience in .net/c# development.
3. extensive knowledge of .net fe and be programming and methodologies.
4. strong expertise working with rest (must have) and soap services.
5. strong understanding of .net architecture and platform, modules, frameworks, and integration technologies.
6. experience with middleware technologies such as boomi.
7. full stack development experience using front end technologies (react/angular), back end technologies (java/net), cloud technologies (aws/azure), or other core languages and cloud technologies across the technology industry.
8. familiarity with agile methodologies, software development best practices and debugging techniques.
9. excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
10. ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
11. able to provide technical guidance and oversight to a team of 5-8 developers and a tester.
12. leadership skills with a track record of mentoring, setting technical goals, and delegating tasks.
13. strong troubleshooting and debugging experience.
14. comfortable leading design discussions in addition to hands-on development and functioning as the sme (subject matter expert) for .net development.
15. experience using agile methodologies - primarily scrum.
16. ability to write clean, readable code that is easy to understand.
17. ability to mentor junior developers and translate requirements from business partners.
18. excellent written and verbal communication skills - to communicate effectively with technical staff, business analysts, management, and business team members.
19. willing to come to our office in mexico city twice a week.
