The field service technician provides the highest quality on and off-site technical support for themaagfamily of equipment toinclude: plastic pelletizing systems,polymerpumpand filtration systems.working independently but supported by others, the incumbent is the technical representative to our customers for all product maintenance, installation, and repair issues.tasks, responsibilities, competenciesindependently travels nationally and internationally as gala's primary technical representative to the customer.interacts with customerson a daily basisto provide solutions to issuesconducts yearly follow up calls to all gala customers to check up on the customer and gala machineryparticipates in customer visits to provide support for equipment installation, troubleshooting,maintenanceand repair activities.
visit responsibilities include logístical planning, coordination with interagency contacts and the customer, execution of the trip and reporting activities and expenses.provides training to customer in house at gala's facility and at the customer's location.represents the company and collects customer feedback to facilitate continuous improvement opportunities.conducts technical discussions regarding machinery repairs, upgrades, and selection to assist customers with a solution to their needs or problems.collaborates with engineering, manufacturing,partsand equipment sales to develop customer focused solutions.
