come join us in an exciting new opportunity as pepsico foods north america (pfna) undertakes a major transformational effort to centralize payroll operations under a new payroll shared services team in pepsico’s mexico business services (mbs) hub. This team will oversee the time and attendance processes and payroll inputs consolidation for 60,000+ employees across our frontline sales, manufacturing, warehouse, and professional populations in the u.s. and canada to deliver payroll accurately and timely.
The payroll specialist will act as a subject matter expert (sme) in a payroll delivery team supporting either pfna sales or operations functions. You will be expected to have deep expertise in the payroll process and various tools utilized in payroll. You will execute complex time and attendance processes and queries, be the point of contact for escalations, perform root-cause (perform action plans) analysis and problem management. Supports in capability building within the team, identify knowledge management opportunities and works with the operational excellence team in projects.
*accountabilities*:
- oversee and execute payroll portfolio services
- receive incidence and validate fulfillment of requirements
- capture incidence information in payroll system
- monitor team members to ensure payroll activities follow operational controls
- support the planning of the workload of extended team
- monitor tickets reception and release ensuring sla compliance
- deliver services at the defined at the slas/kpis.
- leverage technology to optimize payroll efficiency.
- utilize good customer service principles in daily activities
- oversee the daily resolution of escalations and perform root cause analysis to develop action plans
- provide coaching and feedback to team members
- track and report kpis and slas for payroll processes
- act as a point person in the preparation of deliverables for process/control audits
- develop a thorough knowledge of pepsico's us business policies and labor legislation
qualifications:
- bachelor’s degree in in industrial engineer, accounting, finance, business administration or related field.
- experience in payroll, accounting or finance processes (2+ years’ experience).
- functional knowledge of human resources processes (desirable).
- proficient in full suite of microsoft suite of products: word, excel, powerpoint, outlook.
- intermediate - advanced english oral and written communication skills.
- customer focused, adaptable, strong follow up and organizational skills.
- networking, collaboration and influence to establish strong and credible relationships with internal clients.
- able to lead functional agenda within a matrix environment.
- ability to quickly shift and adapt to changes as they come; proactively communicating throughout the process.
- ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time.
