we are building a new team to support our global workday deployment of hcm, psa and fins.
wpp will be extending functionality, as our phased deployment continues, to include recruitment, performance and succession.
we are looking for an hcm consultant who can work with our businesses to document enhancement requests and share expertise to deliver a solution that is fit for purpose.
you will be a member of the workday services team providing post go-live support and enhancement of the workday solution that replaces some of our core technology and influences ways of working for many of our wpp colleagues.
reporting to the hcm product manager, the purpose of the role is to deliver high-quality advice and support across workday hcm and act as a team lead for our level 3 hcm team.
this will include diagnosis and resolution of the most complex issues raised by colleagues that cannot be resolved at level 2.
you will solution design in collaboration with the wider team and assure delivery to the deployed workday platform.
this is an exciting and varied role working with the wider workday services team to provide a world class level of workday support and development on a day-to-day basis.
you will work closely with the wpp implementation team and people teams to understand, improve and deliver an efficient and effective solution.
you will actively participate in the workday community keeping a watching brief on forthcoming enhancements.
*what you'll be doing*:
- diagnosis and resolution of complex issues
- maintain proper change management documentation to satisfy internal/external audit controls and compliance practices
- lead the global nearshore and offshore hcm level 3 team of consultants
- creative solutioning to enhancement requests as approved through our change processes
- provide functional expertise and guidance to our people teams
- monitor the efficacy and adoption of solutions, identifying problems ahead of stakeholders and surfacing opportunities to enhance or scale solutions to better support business needs
- prepare for and support twice-annual upgrades and annual hcm processes
- proactively monitor new features released by workday and advocate for appropriate adoption plans
- accountable for the provision of up-to-date process documentation
- safeguard global standards and principles against competing requests and priorities
*what you'll need*:
- workday hcm certified with four years' experience some of which in a global organisation
- experience of absence and time tracking
- experience of workday recruitment and talent (desirable)
- effective team player and experience of working with others to achieve a common goal
- excellent communication skills using english (our business language)
- stakeholder management /engagement / communication
- solution development and delivery with devops experience a benefit
- process improvements
- contribution to elements of technology or business change projects
- experience of taking ownership of queries and resolving these successfully
- experience of improving ways of working and processes
- excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and confident communicator across all mediums
- ability to deliver to deadlines and prioritise effectively
