summary
responsible for meeting established sales plan objectives through the development and execution of product sales programs. Serves as the primary contact for specific retail customers as assigned by hdla general manager. Execute the sales plan for specific retail customers to achieve the company’s goals.
essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
* achieve increased sales and market share through customer knowledge and maintaining a close working relationship with specific retail customers.
* develop and deliver presentations to customers for line review and business reviews.
* in conjunction with the vice president of international and hdla general manager as well as other sales, assembly and marketing teams, formulate and execute strategic business plans, which among other things, will identify areas of targeted growth and expansion potential.
* identify new areas of growth through thorough research such as wholesalers, e-commerce, alternate markets (informal), catalog companies and corporate/government opportunities.
* develop and maintain a strategic plan for all key accounts that include specific product and pricing strategies unique to that account.
* develop sales forecasts, promotional spending plans and competitive product analysis; maintain thorough knowledge of products, as well as competitive products, prices and sales programs. Maximize profitability by preparing product pricing and promotional programs that maximize profitable sales.
* ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

education and/or experience
3+ years of sales or account management experience working with retailers.

mathematical skills
ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of american money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
