this role involves supporting tools and software development.
*essential responsibilities*
- conduct in-depth research to resolve technical issues and create corresponding documentation.
- develop software tools in accordance with project requirements.
- perform verification and testing of software artifacts.
- assist with various activities, duties, and responsibilities within the team.
- become familiar with and actively engage in the business's products and services.
- demonstrate strong multitasking abilities, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- provide support to the future of flight control software sub-section with metrics and reports.
*qualifications/requirements*
- currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program (not a master's program) with at least 1.5 to 2 years remaining before graduation.
- major in computer science, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or aeronautics.
- proficiency in c, python, and linux programming.
- effective written and oral communication skills in both english and spanish.
- strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a self-driven attitude.
- ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize activities, and promptly address blocking issues.
*desired characteristics*
- experience in developing automation tools.
- understanding of the iso/osi model (network, ip configuration, nodes).
- familiarity with configuration management and github.
- knowledge of aeronautics.
- basic understanding of controls.
