*job purpose*
key position within the us financial controlling team.
the financial controller will collaborate with the regional head of financial control and reporting, regional cfo americas and business leaders to develop financial strategies and drive analytics to enable informed business decision making.
they will assist with forecasting and budgeting processes and provide monthly reports and analysis directly to business leaders.
*key accountabilities*
- support the execution of core financial planning and analysis such as monthly kpi reporting and variance analysis, forecasting, budgeting, dashboards and other business planning activities as assigned
- create monthly management reporting, which includes analysing current and past trends in in financial results and kpis in all areas of revenues and costs
- ensures the integration of the budgeting and planning data with the general ledger for monthly reporting of actuals against budget/forecast, highlighting trends and analysing causes of variances
- reconcile fp&a guided processes to books and provide accounting guidance on any discrepancies
- assist with the strategic and business plans, budget/forecast formation and presentations to the board, excom, and business leaders
- ad-hoc reporting and projects as requested by sr. Financial controller and cfo

*education/qualifications*
- bs degree in finance, accounting, or related field
*experience*
- 2-3 years of experience
*knowledge and skills*
- asset management, investment banking, corporate finance, financial planning or related field
- strong analytical ability - must be able to synthesize data, error check, reconcile own work and able to design analysis to answer specific questions
- a detail-oriented approach - must pay close attention to details and have the drive for accuracy
- excellent decision making, problem-solving and communication skills
- proficient in ms excel and powerpoint
