core responsibilities of the role:
as a corporate chef, you will be responsible for growing sales through the introduction and execution of sales plans and programs for key distributor and operator accounts.
your business will call on and support operators across multiple channels industry and commercial. Corporate chef are consistently challenged to grow relationships and deliver results. Every day will uncover a new challenge and new opportunity to sell, and you’ll partner with your teammates to work together, win, and celebrate success. Corporate chef will be responsible for multiple foodservice distributors in mexico.
key accountabilities
strategic business development (analyze & build strategies):
* build a deep understanding of your customers and market to analyze and identify key sales opportunities to drive growth.
* develop plans to build a balanced, sustainable and growing business with your distributors and operators across foodservice channels.
sales execution responsibilities
* build and execute sales execution plans (sep) to drive sales with key operators and distributors within the territory.
* execute division level and local programs as outlined by national account executives.
* partner with your region manager and peers (kam) to collaborate on strategies to grow the market.
* successfully seed new products into distribution and operators by creating local execution plans.
* develop creative strategies to influence distributor sales reps to be an extension of our sales team by selling general mills products to operators.
budget management responsibilities
* negotiate distributor partnership program (dpp) trade agreements to maximize the roi of trade spends with regional distributors.
* effective management of t&e budgets.
* consistently update forecasts to effectively manage trade budgets.
other responsibilities:
* coordinate food shows, vendor fairs, and sales meetings, as well as operator product trainings.
* collaborate with foodservice ingredients (fsi) corporate chef to drive sales at shared distributors.
minimum requirements:
* bachelor's degree in gastronomy, administration or similar.
* 3+ years of foodservice industry experience.
* intermediate/advanced english.
* driver's license.
* experience in accounts with wholesale clients, distributors, horecas (food service providers), and bakeries.
* customer advice, attention, and service.
* strong interpersonal & communication skills.
* strong analytical skills.
* win as a team (team player).
* self-motivated with ability to maintain workload from remote office.
preferred qualifications
* operator management experience.
* previous distributor relationship management experience.
* marketing program negotiation experience.
