the spanish bilingual customer service representative is responsible for assisting patients with inquiries, resolving account issues, and processing payments in a professional and efficient manner. This role requires fluency in both english and spanish, strong communication skills, and the ability to navigate healthcare billing and insurance processes while ensuring compliance with hipaa regulations.
your responsibilities:
1. handle inbound and outbound calls to assist patients with billing inquiries, disputes, and payment processing.
2. research and resolve patient concerns regarding healthcare claims, balances, and account discrepancies.
3. process credit card payments over the phone for outstanding self-pay balances.
4. maintain a solid understanding of healthcare claims processing, billing codes (icd-9/10, cpt, hcpcs), and reimbursement methods.
5. utilize epic and ge workflow systems to manage patient information and account updates.
6. ensure compliance with hipaa regulations and maintain strict patient data confidentiality.
7. meet daily productivity and quality standards as set by the department.
8. professionally handle difficult customer interactions while maintaining composure and a customer-first attitude.
9. collaborate with internal teams to address complex patient concerns.
10. perform additional tasks and special projects as needed.
