Designs and develops molds for the manufacturing of connectors.
plans and manages the manufacturing process of the designed molds, ensuring compliance with product specifications and customer needs in an efficient and cost-effective manner by applying lean manufacturing principles.
our team
direct impact on the development of new businesses through the design and creation of molds for new products, being responsible from the basic and detailed design phase to the manufacturing of molds for connectors and housings. They work daily with the product development, new product introduction, and production teams to evaluate, design, and execute the development of new products, while adhering to the sqpc (safety, quality, production, and cost) policies and systems.
what you will do
1. define cost effective & robust process flow with accurate manufacturing cost for all the molding related rfqs based on the harness type and application.
2. conduct effective molding manufacturing feasibility studies along with core team as per the criteria.
3. troubleshoot issues in a scientific approach using engineering tools, scientific molding approach, tolerance analysis, spc, doe, and six sigma techniques.
4. take the leading role in driving the improvement of productivity and quality of molding and tooling techniques.
5. participate in design reviews and conduct thorough design for manufacturability to mitigate all the design-related concerns and pfmea reviews of all the molding parts and address all potential failures, suggesting/implementing corrective actions wherever economically feasible.
6. participate in mold development by coordinating with the internal development team, deriving the tooling requirements including controls, poka-yoke, and cycle time, and communicating effectively with the internal tooling development team.
7. make and update project plans for each part number and review with the team.
