the quality assurance manager, footwear – row supports the supply chain & quality manager in maintaining the quality management system, upholding quality standards in footwear manufacturing, establishing best manufacturing processes, and seek continuous improvement actions with suppliers. This position role will report to sr. Manager, supply chain & quality assurance.
you’ll make a difference by
responsibilities include 80% quality assurance and 20% quality control:
* focusing on issue detection, solution, and prevention in footwear manufacturing
* participating in product tear down meetings to voice foreseen production concerns and recommend solutions to product creation team
* engaging with suppliers in all steps of product creation from the inspection of materials to final inspection of production orders
* documenting and reporting daily, weekly, and quarterly quality control reports to relevant stakeholders
* assuming responsibility as product developer or product engineer when necessary
* driving improvement opportunity actions such as implementation of automation machinery and best practices
* monitoring and improving regional quality and management system to meet or exceed the company quality goals
* engaging with cross functional departments to achieve business goals
* developing and leading a regional quality team to ensure high standards and ensure consistent performance by suppliers
* engaging with regional and international quality managers to address product issues from customer returns and/or complaints
* other duties as assigned
about you
* bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field is preferred
* 10+ years of experience in the footwear industry with at least 5 years of experience in quality assurance management
* proficiency in windows, microsoft office tools, and pivot 88 is preferred
* experience with goodyear welt and cement construction is preferred
* fluent in english, with strong oral and written communication skills
* detail-oriented, with strong critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
* proactive, problem-solving, and results-oriented, with a continuous improvement mindset
* ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
