summary:
the payroll operations manager will have responsibility for at least 1 large account and potential portfolio of other accounts. Dynamic role with responsibility for team management and client engagement with a lead role for client escalations within operations. Can be cross country or assigned to only one country of expertise. Opportunity to learn additional payroll countries.
Essential functions:
- ensure that all process are being executed based on payroll procedures with standards and tools in place and aligned for all accounts
- ensure staffing and training at optimal levels
- responsible for client satisfaction
- responsible for key performance indicator management, strong focus on metric to drive improvement with strong action plan development for improvements
- review account status (financial and client satisfaction) and participate in service review meetings with client
- manage change request both internally and with client
- collaborate and work with commercial team in sales opportunities
- build relationship commitment with other areas
required education and experience:
- ba/bs degree or equivalent is preferred; equivalent work experience required
- a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in payroll solutions is required with at least 2 years in leadership role. Knowledge of mexico payroll legislation/taxation is required.
- advanced english (reading/speaking) required
- domain expertise in payroll technology and solution; prefer sap experience.
- ability to build strong collaborative relationships, influence multiple partners, and establish common goals and objectives without sacrificing outcomes
- excellent writing and verbal communication skills required. The ability to understand target audiences and translate complex concepts into clear and concise messages is required
- thrives in matrix environments, is flexible, collaborative and deadline driven
- strong organization skills with attention to detail, laser focused approach on delivery of results is required
- proven ability to take a complex business requirement and break it down into operational solutions is required
- analytical mindset, critical thinking, problem solving skills are required
- high level proficiency in microsoft office products is required
- experience in inhouse, outsourced and co-sourced payroll service delivery models is preferred
