*about the role*

to lead the delivery of end-to-end talent acquisition service for novartis international lacan region (latam + canada). You will lead a great team of talent acquisition professionals to attract and acquire 400-500 talents annually to support novartis lacan ~$3b business and serve more patients. Your objective will be to create and implement strategies to attract the best talent for novartis international lacan region along with business strategy and p&o priorities.
Key responsibilities:
- as the talent acquisition lead, international lacan region, you will drive operational excellence throughout the talent acquisition lifecycle, including data integrity, and adherence to key talent acquisition success metrics.
- you will report into the global head of talent acquisition, international, support him/her with the design and execution of the talent acquisition strategy and overall management of the function in japan.
- you will lead, coach, and develop a talent acquisition business partner team who are responsible for developing and executing our talent acquisition strategy in international lacan region to attract and acquire the most disruptive, innovative, and diverse talents.
- you will oversee capacity planning as well as the performance and capability building of your team.
- develop engaging relationships with hiring managers at all levels across the region and provide coaching and training in the end-to-end hiring funnel to enable co-ownership of the hiring agenda.
- develop a data-driven approach to optimize our efficiency, inform decision-making and enable more proactive strategic workforce planning, in collaboration with p&o head and bpa.
- collaborate with international recruitment marketing to develop a recruitment marketing strategy for the region, especially for the key markets.
- you will drive talent assessment process to ensure the hiring quality.
- you will proactively share market and competitive intelligence to inform talent, business, and organizational design decisions with the business & p&o colleagues.
- the role will maintain an understanding of innovative recruitment tools, technologies and best practices and utilize specific sourcing tools, technologies, and/or capabilities required for talent acquisition.
- proactively give feedback to your team on their performance and work with them to ensure they reach their growth potential.
- support business critical roles hiring and proactive pipelining.
- you will represent talent acquisition at p&o boards meetings at a regional/country level.

essential requirements
- minimum 8+ years experience in recruitment either in an agency or inhouse talent acquisition.
- a minimum of 3+ years recent experience in leading a talent acquisition team, preferably with expertise in hiring for full functions.
- exceptional assessment and interviewing skills, with a strong command of assessment and selection methodologies, instruments, and processes.
- ability to maintain relationships with senior leaders on the key goals and partner with your p&o peers to deliver a talent agenda.
- ability in leading, coaching and mentoring remote and diverse team.
- ability in driving a targeted dei hiring agenda across a complex ecosystem.
- expertise and understanding of the latest hiring trends in the region and key markets with a focus on the pharmaceutical industry or relevant ecosystem.
- must have strong presentation, communication (both written and verbal), influencing and negotiation skills.
- ability to extract and interpret data from internal and external data sources.
- strong project management and critical thinking skills with thorough attention to detail.
