The opportunity:
work as staff/senior on multiple workstreams for middle and back-office functions for an asset management client.
position responsibilities: interact with the pricing vendors to price securitiescommunicate daily inquiries to appropriate internal departmentsmonitor and data mine the daily pricing for anomalies and potential issuesperform deep dives on issues related to securities pricing and methodologyissue price challengesinteract with portfolio managers as an internal consultantinteract with internal and external audit teamsaudit internal processes, identify and mitigate risks, and develop and enhance controlsdevelop reports and presentations for funds, the boards, legal, and portfolio managementmaintain current knowledge of domestic and foreign securities markets and monitor effects on funds, pricing, and valuation proceduresmanage various projects related to process improvements, procedures, and systems developmentposition requirements: minimum of a bachelor's degree, preferably in a quantitative fieldminimum 3 years of experience in security valuation and mutual fund operationsexperience working with trading desk and portfolio managersmarket data knowledge from working with providers of financial data, such as bloomberg, thomson reuters, intex, and othersexperience working with business intelligence reporting tools and dashboards, such as powerbi (preferred) or other platformsadvanced excel/vba, sql, python, strongly preferredexceptional accuracy and attention to detailpreferred qualifications: advanced degree in accounting, finance, mathematics, statistics, engineering, economicsca, cpa or cfa designationexperience with mutual fund governance and fund boardsexperience working with business analysis and project management
