As an ehs sr specialist, you will support the business to align with the ehs strategy according to corporate policies and strategies, ensure full compliance with mexican regulations, corporate policies and strategies on environmental, safety and industrial hygiene, always oriented to the protection of the physical integrity and health of workers, including associates, contractors, customers, suppliers and community, as well as facilities, company property and reputation of the company.
*key responsibilities*
- responsible for lead the implementation of ehs ppg requirements and policies.
- drive injury prevention, spill elimination and sustainability in the areas of waste elimination, energy conservation and water consumption
- supervise the accurate execution of high-risk work permits, pre-task risk analysis and align with safety and hygiene commission tours.
- coordinate, implement and verify compliance with the annual ecology, hygiene and safety training program for all plant personnel.
- participate in the active awareness of personnel in the prevention, identification and elimination of environmental impacts, accidents or damage to health, due to their work activities and those of the company in general.
- implement and supervise emergency response and contingency plans. Oversight fire protection preparedness.
- provides direction on incident and injury investigation, incident reporting management and oversight for the facility.
- participate in the assessment to do ehs impacts of capital projects and assure ehs risk assessments are completed.
*qualifications*
- 3-5 years’ demonstrated ability as ehs leader, preferred chemical setting or tier 1, tier 2 plants
- chemical engineering, chemical engineering technology, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, environmental engineering or related science field.
- proficiency in the use of ms office products including outlook, word, powerpoint and excel.
- experience in cority is a plus
- availability to travel to apodaca, saltillo and hermosillo.
- fluent english.

- a bs degree in chemical or mechanical engineering, or a related engineering field is required.
