Manage and support thermal joining and welding processes for all battery tray assembly programs assuring main kpis such as sqdctm are met, give technical support and mentoring to welding engineers helping to meet key milestones.*main responsibilities*- responsible of all welding processes for all bt assembly programs.- keep all programs internal scrap rates below target for welding related issues.- assure weld integrity is met for all programs through c&e and welding health charts- support new programs welding process validation to pursue a vertical ramp up during sop- give technical support to welding engineers for all programs.- assure customer specific requirements compliance in regards of welding processes, cqi-15 audits.- assure all risk reduction process controls are implemented and documented within all assembly programs.- assure the implementation all lessons learned from previous programs and best practices- report global status of welding process to process engineering manager- develops & executes strategies to keep welding team trained and qualified for current and new technologies.- subject matter expert on all things welding gives support and to internal customers such as: quality, maintenance and operations departments.- assure welding engineers participation and contribution in 8ds, problem solving, customer claims, internal and external defects*position requirements*- conversational english is a must- engineering degree (master is a plus)- +6 years of experience with assembly processes preferably automotive sector (body in white)- deep technical experience in welding (gmaw, gtaw, rsw, laser)- robotic welding process experience is a must, hands on experience required- experience with the following brands: fanuc, fronius, lincoln, centerline, bosch- aluminum welding experience is a plus.- able to handle multiple programs (up to 6) at the same time, self-oriented, make things happened mindset.- at nemak, diversity, equity and inclusion (d&i) play a fundamental role in everything we do and are the underlying platform on which our culture is built.
