*job summary*the compensation and benefits specialist will be responsible for analyzing compensation trends, managing benefits programs, and ensuring strict compliance with relevant benefit and laws and regulations in the u.s. and canada.
you will work closely with hr and business leaders to maintain accurate job descriptions, conduct benefits orientations, ownership of loa's and provide clear communication to employees about their compensation and benefits.
your expertise in data analytics will help us assess and improve our compensation structures, while your strong interpersonal skills will ensure effective support for our employees.
*duties and responsibilities*- regularly analyze compensation trends to ensure competitive pay structures.- maintain compensation resources and tools.- evaluate job descriptions and collaborate with hr and business leaders to ensure accuracy.- conduct benefits orientation sessions for new hires.- maintain ownership of leave of absence programs for u.s and canada- prepare necessary reports for regulatory bodies.- serve as a point of contact for employee benefits inquiries.- provide clear and concise information about benefits and compensation policies.- utilize data analytics to assess compensation structures- participate in the maintenance of compensation programs.- assist in the development of compensation policies, sops, and programs.- provide strategic research and analytical support for compensation programs.- administer and communicate the company's benefit programs, including plan options, policy features, enrollment, and other requirements related to leave of absence, workers' compensation, and retirement within the u.s. and canada.- respond to benefit inquiries and escalate as needed.- maintain the hris benefits database, including data entry and preparation of reports.- ensure compliance with federal, state, and provincial laws.- other duties and responsibilities as assigned*basic qualifications*- *minimum of 3 years of related experience with a focus on global compensation and benefits administration*:- excellent problem solving, organizational and analytical skills.- advanced skills in the use of microsoft excel, word and powerpoint- proven experience as a team player with an understanding of how to deliver both personal and team goals.- strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
