Job description
assists the functional departments and specific business divisions during the planning and implementation stages of six sigma projects. Provides technical leadership, mentorship, and training to black belts in operational or transactional environments. Generally has achieved six-sigma black belt certification. University degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. 6 years suggested minimum experience.
perform six sigma (ss) projects with passion using the r-dmaic methodology focused on quality (40%), improving health, safety, ergonomics, environment and work culture (20%), and cost reduction due to increasing efficiency and profitability (40%).
perform lean manufacturing (lean) and fast r-dmaic (jdi) projects with enthusiasm and agility, using the tools of jcms, r-dmaic, problem solving, potential problem analysis, and/or decision analysis methodologies.
participate as a member of the earp, leading projects and/or activities to find the root cause of the top five of each quality indicator on a weekly basis.
mentor assigned green belts to obtain six sigma green belt certification and, once certified, ensure they manage at least one project per year.
enthusiastically participate in r&d and gap analysis workshops to recognize and define cost reduction opportunities.
demonstrate an intolerance for unsafe acts and conditions, promoting continuous improvement in health and safety performance, environmental care, pollution prevention, product or service quality and safety, implementing all standards and guidelines, legal and otherwise, as well as those of the organization's business operating system (bos); maintaining the necessary records to demonstrate compliance and attending training applicable to their roles and responsibilities.
maintain weekly updates of the projects registered in the sigma trac project management database, owning and managing assigned green belt's projects.
advise members of the earp, emc, six sigma green belt (gb), and others in the correct use of statistical tools and efc environmental and health and safety.
participate as facilitator with the members of the platform high performance team (phpt), continuous improvement team (cit), and others in the correct use of the problem solving, potential problem analysis, and decision analysis methodologies.
support the different areas in special or specific tasks according to the experience and skills of each black belt (bb).
manage the kaizen improvement proposals system for the capture, correct evaluation, implementation, and recognition of these proposals.
