job summary
independently, or under limited or no supervision, works on assignments that are complex in nature, requiring considerable judgment and initiative to solve problems and make recommendations. The operations technician is responsible for maintaining, completing setups and repairs of production line equipment. He/she is responsible for ensuring that all unplanned maintenance work assigned to him/her for all production equipment is executed, maintaining the department's expected levels of gmps (good manufacturing practices).
duties & responsibilities
* responsible for manufacturing equipment setups and respective documentation.
* support manufacturing in the timely repair of equipment and machinery.
* perform unplanned emergent and corrective maintenance activities according to approved methods and documentation.
* participate in the transfer of new production lines.
* provide recommendations and technical support on new projects and oac.
* follow up on all company safety policies and other safety precautions within the work area.
* ensures environmental management systems (ems) responsibilities are met.
* responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to the next level of management.
* perform daily task capture in ecmms or system assigned for the purpose.
* responsible for the management and administration of the cmms maximo maintenance system for ciudad juarez as it relates to maintenance planning tasks.
* responsible for ensuring personal and company compliance with all federal, state, local and company regulations, policies and procedures.
* perform other duties as assigned as required.
experience and education
* studies in technical career or equivalent applicable to the area: mechanical; electrical; electromechanical; electronic; metrology; instrumentalist.
* 5-10 years of related experience and/or training related preferably.
required knowledge, skills, abilities, certifications/licenses and affiliations
* knowledge of good manufacturing practices and documentation preferably in the medical industry.
* extensive knowledge of computer packages.
* knowledge of maximo system (computerized maintenance management system) preferred.
* knowledge of gmps (good manufacturing practices) / iso preferred.
* knowledge of emergent and unplanned corrective maintenance, documentation of calibration procedures and quality systems preferred.
