*position: finance controller*
- bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
- 8 to 10 years of experience in general accounting and/or business with prior leadership experience and minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in automotive.
- sap knowledge required / bpc knowledge is a bonus.
- strong cost accounting experience and analytical skills
- cpa or cma preferred.
- knowledge of sarbanes oxley (sox or j-sox) preferred.
- superior verbal and written communication skills
- excellent planning and organizational skills
- good conflict resolution and analysis skills and experience working in a multi-cultural environment.
- excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.

*responsibilities*:
- partner with plant manager and operations team on all aspects of the business to drive maximum profitability.
- responsible for leading and performing all controlling functions and financial reporting activities including month-end close, p&l preparation, and ownership of assigned balance sheet accounts.
- perform cost center reporting, material and labor & overhead variance analysis, forecasting, and kpi management.
- maintain and report on standard product costs, including cost rolls in sap as required.
- coordinate, support, and report on all inventory-related activities including cycle counting.
- key owner of the annual budget and periodic financial forecasts ensuring all objectives are met.
- develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain an environment of internal control and compliance with ngk accounting policies and j-sox requirements.
- safeguard all plant assets including inventory and capital assets via robust processes and internal controls.
- liaise with regional headquarters on key business and accounting issues.
- manage plant-level quarterly and year-end internal and external audits.
- train and develop direct reports and other associates to be experts on manufacturing processes focusing on measuring and improving profitability.
- identify and lead special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- adhere to all company policies and procedures which include jsox, iatf, iso, isms, and safety related policies.
- ensure process achievements and promote customer focus throughout the organization.
