To help enable this success we are looking to hire a team member to manage platform/commodity transition planning during the life cycle of the platform across all ps platforms. Key focus would be management over the life cycle: pre-por thru' end of manufacturing with special emphasis on ramp up (npi) and ramp down (eol). You will be working with cross functional teams: gbu, category product management, category ops, category business management, supply chain planning, supply chain npi, commodity planning, procurement to meet customer requirements, mínimal gaps out, avoid excess situation and maximizing margin
analyze demand vs supply: aligning with commodity planning, track key feature values on coverage. Create playbook during low coverage and excess situation to help communication to markets and drive actions. Work with procurement on creating an anecdotal feedback on long term supply and understand commodity roadmap. Anticipate e&o and aging risk; create a process of communication on excess risk

as a business operation manager for the ps current business management team, you will be the long term forecast strategist that covers full commercial product lines' operation including commercial notebook, desktop, workstation, thin client, rpos.
the primary responsibilities include:
- develops the next 180 day forecast strategy that aligns with ww and regional category's business goals (financial and market share) at platform levels
- works with ww alliance team closely to understand core key technology (intel, amd, microsoft) transition plan, and develops metrics to track the progress
- be the point of contact to resolve region's escalation on supply constraint and manage regional allocation based on business priority
- supports executive's request on product performance and core technology performance analysis

general qualifications
4-5 year experiences in supply chain planning role or strong knowledge in supply chain operation
understanding of commercial product roadmap and life cycle management
