duties
- communicates knowledge to engineers & technicians.
- supervise technicians to prepare and maintain plastic injection molds in optimal conditions, it includes; disassembly, inspection, repair and cleaning, according g to the drawings and corning's standards.
- place order for mold spare parts and tool room supplies.
- ensure on new mold design projects compliance with ctq features.
- write mold prep (disassembly, inspection and cleaning) procedures and train personal
- repair the mold components & fixtures; work with outside vendors when in house resources are unavailable using drawing with specification.
- troubleshooting production molds to minimize downtime, making works instruction for each kind of mold.
- works with plant scheduler to ensure that molds are ready for production as required.
- ensure the following at the pm scheduled each week and track each event in the maximo system.
- have the control of the spare part inventory sending a weekly report to the manager according to the procedures.
- cranes must be inspected once a day, must have the check list and maintenance according to the schedule.
- ensure accuracy of spare parts inventory at tool room areas.
- skills (solid works, autocad, pro e, etc.)
- computer literate, excel & ms office
- electrical skills (low and high voltage)
- mechanical skills (assembly and disassembly equipment's)
- pneumatic skills
- electronics is a plus
- ability to read understand and update mold drawings and electrical schematics
- experience in leading teams in meeting continuous improvement goals, step change performance improvements, innovation, expanding technical capability, work redesign or other change efforts.
- experience with data collection and data analysis software and techniques, including excel, mini tab, pi, access, etc.
- minimum 1-year experience in injection mold processing, mold maintenance, mold repair and mold hot runner systems.
- fluent english to speak and write.
