reporting to the sr.
supervisor, production planning, as a planner buyer, you will be responsible for maximizing service levels while minimizing inventory levels, requisitioning purchased component materials, and streamlining materials through production, as well as reviewing the current production schedules that support the manufacturing process.
you will create, follow up on, and report on the current production schedules.
about the job:
- create and follow up on purchase orders to ensure the supply of raw materials to complete the production plan.- control raw material inventory levels in accordance with business guidelines.- monitor and control the logistics costs of raw material shipments, as well as follow up on the implementation of new products to ensure the supply of components.- support the finance department with overdue or pending invoices, raw material requirements to suppliers, and selection of shipping methods for materials.- follow up on surplus, obsolete, blocked, quality inspection, and consignment materials.- planning, control, and management of all materials to ensure compliance with the production schedule.
ensure the receipt of production planning schedules before the start of the week to promote supply chain stability.- reduce inventory levels by optimizing the purchasing process and disposal of obsolete materials, as well as reviewing and updating data in the electronic system such as minimum lot sizes and lead times.
