*what you will be doing*this person will be responsible for leading 4 media/graphic designers to accelerate and transform employee experiences to be engaging and memorable so that it's easy for employees to learn and take action.
the leader is responsible for establishing user centered design processes to ensure solutions meet the needs of the business through the creation of meaningful and frictionless media, tools and assets to help employees learn, take action and achieve desired outcomes.
the manager, design coe is responsible for establishing consulting practices for the team to leverage when partnering with clients, such as the learning & development (l&d) team, as well as the broader global talent (gt) team, to create sets of artifacts that work together as a complete experience and connect with intended audiences.
in addition, the leader will empower self-service across gt by ensuring the design team makes tools available to enable gt partners to create artifacts and experiences for their targeted audiences on their own.this position reports to the director, global learning and development.
as part of the l&d leadership team, the manager, design coe will contribute to the development of the company's global learning and development strategy, lead priority projects related to the strategy and align the design team members to projects based on strengths, interests and development needs to support the engagement, growth and performance of the team.
the position is responsible for building high trust relationships with the l&d, talent futures, global talent, and brand communications teams in order to ensure alignment, partner effectively and efficiently, and produce outputs of value in alignment with the overall steelcase brand, employee value proposition (evp) and the company strategy.at steelcase, we know that work matters and can provide people with a deep sense of purpose.
