The field engineer (fe) supports the te industrial account manager (am) who supports a set of customers and/or accounts within a defined territory and a specific industry. The fe is responsible for developing and growing the industrial pipeline in partnership with the am. This alignment of the design programs and the product opportunities with the am and relevant customer is needed for te to become a strategic partner and to increase revenue, account penetration and customer satisfaction.
The fe is responsible for engaging with customer engineering and design team members, including performing technical presentations, voice-of-customer meetings, product demonstrations and following up on new and current opportunities, platforms, and projects. The fe is also responsible for identifying and attracting new opportunities and/or projects to increase the customer share for te and driving the project pipeline to conversion.
The fe is responsible for developing opportunity and along with te product and sub-vertical management, is tasked with identifying tam, pam and sam values while executing the account strategy and plan developed by the afg leaders and account managers.

*key responsibilities*:
- develop and execute customer strategic account growth plan(s) in line with the te business strategy and product roadmap to ensure revenue growth, account penetration and customer satisfaction of the assigned accounts. Strategic account plans should include:
- relevant market information: markets, market share, competitor swot, technologies, trends, environmental changes, political factors, tam and pam details, etc.
- growth information: how-to-win design programs versus competition or gain back previously lost business, how to increase market share, and develop with pm and am a strategy to deliver productivity through new design conversion.
- explain and clearly communicate the customer strategic account growth plan/s to internal groups (field engineering, engineering, product management, etc).
- maintain ongoing and regular direct contact with key engineering stakeholders in the customer.
- identify and understand current and future customer needs and opportunities on their platforms to introduce and sell te products, services, and solutions to the customer. Promote te, te technologies and product portfolio with the customer and drive projects.
- proactively address open customer design and development issues to closure.
- enter and coordinate salesforce opportunities in concert with the account manager to ensure voc and technical information is provided to the customer within agreed timeframes.
- collaborate and communicate with internal te stakeholders (including account managers, te engineering, product management, and industry marketing) to share relevant information about the customer.
- actively monitor & maintain engineering kpis of specific industrial customers. Proactively promote the value which te brings to the customer (with data / results) and work to efficiently service the account.
- maintain an overview of the engineering project pipeline within salesforce to ensure alignment with the account plan and industrial growth strategy.
*key qualifications, experiences & knowledge*:
- university engineering degree (mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, electronics engineering preferred) or business administration degree.
- previous experience in engineering, including opportunity development and relationship management.
- a good understanding of te technologies and te’s product portfolio.
- ability to work with deadlines and challenging targets.
- mobility: flexibility in working days and travelling within the specified sales region.
- valid driver’s license.
- high level of written and verbal english communication skills.
- strategic thinking with the ability to execute on priorities.
- ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities in line with business plans.
