*role definition*:provides clinical and consultative services, including diagnosis and treatment of injuries and illnesses, in support of employee health, productivity and safety.
*responsibilities will include but are not limited to*:- performs clinical evaluations and examinations including government mandated surveillance examinations.- evaluates and diagnoses patients based on history and physical exam.
interprets laboratory and other diagnostic tests.
prescribes evidence-based treatments to manage problems.- performs full scope of occupational medicine including managing medical restrictions, assisting in work-relatedness determination, and evaluating fitness for duty.- partners with management, ehs, and other teams to improve employee health and safety.
serves as an internal consultant for medical-related issues.- doctor of medicine (md) or doctor of osteopathy (do) in an appropriate specialty with current state license or ability to obtain state license as a medical doctor or doctor of osteopathy or local country equivalent.
*skills*organizational compliance*:knowledge of organizational compliance frameworks, their purpose, and risks of non-compliance; ability to design, implement, monitor, and review organizational compliance policies and procedures.level working knowledge:- updates documentation with current national and local organizational compliance regulations.- assists in the enforcement of organizational compliance policies and procedures.- researches regulatory changes that are critical to maintaining organizational compliance.- describes internal sources for gathering data on non-compliant processes and behaviors.- assists in identifying areas of organizational risk that may result in non-compliance.
*office support tools*:level working knowledge:- demonstrates some advanced functions of at least one product.- performs first-level problem resolution before seeking help elsewhere.- helps colleagues with desktop tools where necessary.works with all basic office-support products.
