responsibilities
the opportunity
this position is responsible of providing technical analytical insights to r&d product developers and specification writers, by performing basic and high technology analytical testing, and reviewing technical documents in order to assure analytical method alignment between raw materials suppliers and pepsico, needed to support innovation agenda for all latam sector for snacks category for seasonings and raw materials. This role is also responsible of maintaining measurement sciences master data alignment in the sap system as well in our internal documental tools.
your impact
as measurement sciences assco analyst your functions would consist:
- provide technical analytical insights to r&d product developers through foods testing at the physicochemical laboratory using basic and high technology instrumentation, examples are physical and chemical characterization of powdered seasonings and ingredients using powder flow tester, thermo-gravimetrical instruments, nuclear magnetic resonance, solvent extraction, colorimetric analysis, infrared spectrophotometry, etc.
- provide guidelines to product developers and raw material suppliers about industry standard and pepsico internal analytical methods alignment in order to assure flawless execution during incoming raw material evaluation at pepsico manufacturing sites.
- measurement sciences master data maintenance on internal documental tools and sap system to enable specification writers to properly include physico-chemical information in raw material specifications.
- development of moisture testing correlations between primary and secondary analytical methods.
- provide maintenance to basic and high technology instrumentation at the laboratory.

- basic software management (word, excel, power point, office 365, etc.)
