- attend internal / external audits and reviews in mx wpb risk, such as cnbv, banxico, condusef, abm, credit bureau, pwc, pra, ina, crri and others.
- maintains hsbc internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
- represent wpb risk in regular meetings with external regulators, auditors and third parties.
- review and assure the compliance with fim standards within hbmx.
- follow up of issues, dispensations, regulatory breaches, msii (management self-identified issues), eucs.
- coordination of bimonthly credit review forum, portfolio quality review meetings and secretariat of the monthly hbmx wpb rmm & americas credit risk and compliance forum.
- supervise the update of new policies (gap analysis), as well as their timely implementation.
- oversight on compliance risk and control framework in wpb.
- promote and practice the appropriate risk management, ensuring that risks are captured, understood, clearly communicated and potential sources of loss are minimized in a cost-effective manner.
