Job summary
the manager, payroll integration and reporting & analytics is a 16-month fixed-term role responsible for leading the payroll integration project across managed by marriott mexico hotels. This role will oversee the successful planning, execution, and implementation of a unified payroll system, ensuring seamless integration and compliance with financial processes.
the manager will be responsible for coordinating all integration tasks with the selected payroll vendor, ensuring clear communication, alignment on project timelines, and the successful implementation of the payroll system. They will serve as the primary liaison between the vendor, hotel teams, and above-property stakeholders, addressing any issues, facilitating collaboration, and ensuring that project objectives are met efficiently.
in addition to overseeing the payroll project, the manager will also be responsible for leading other new initiatives and projects that may arise based on business needs.
strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication are essential for this role. The successful candidate will need to balance technical expertise with creativity and adaptability, managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Familiarity with on-property finance processes, including p&ls, reconciliations, and controls, is preferred. This role requires collaboration across multicultural, remote teams, ensuring efficient coordination between hotels, above-property teams, and vendors, while delivering impactful financial solutions.

* bachelor’s degree in business administration, hotel management or related major
* 4+ years of relevant experience in management consulting, hotel management, business analysis, or related professional areas
* fluency in english and spanish required

* project management: lead the payroll integration project lifecycle, ensuring timely execution and successful implementation across all mexico hotels.

* vendor coordination: act as the primary liaison with the selected vendor, managing integration tasks, timelines, and issue resolution.
* proactive oversight: monitor newly implemented projects, providing ongoing support, follow-ups, and troubleshooting to address any arising issues.
* scope and deployment monitoring: track project scope, deployment progress, and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
* business case development: develop and maintain business cases, including total process costs and expected benefits, to support decision-making.
* dashboard maintenance: maintain tools and dashboards to monitor project commitments, progress, and performance metrics.
* training and support: provide necessary training and support to hotel teams on financial and operational aspects of the payroll integration.
* goal tracking: monitor and report on delivery goals, ensuring alignment with project timelines and objectives.
* regional initiatives support: contribute to broader regional hr and finance initiatives, leveraging insights from the payroll integration project.
* troubleshooting and issue resolution: address technical and operational issues proactively, ensuring minimal disruption to hotel operations.
* financial oversight: oversee financial aspects of the project, ensuring accurate reporting and adherence to budget.
* continuous improvement: identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance project outcomes.
