This position is based in mexico. This role requires strong local experience in cost & procurement management, development, and execution in the region. The cost manager will closely collaborate with international development management, business development, and asset management teams, reporting to both the regional director and group director of international cost & procurement dept. The objective of this role is to lead and support all aspects of cost and procurement works including cost estimation of new pipeline projects and renovation projects, cost management of development projects in america, vendors exploration, and procurement management in logistic & industrial sector.job responsibilitiesasset acquisitionscollaborate with acquisition and investment team to provide initial cost input for potential projects’ evaluation, including market cost benchmark, preliminary cost estimates, detailed cost estimation based on concept design and specification, cost advisory for renovation projects or tenant requirements.liaise with relevant stakeholders to ensure all required information is available to complete the cost estimation.manage 3rd consultant to ensure the cost aligns with the market and future trends.stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, cost escalations, and regulatory changes affecting asset development.cost management in development projectsset up cost plan and develop following different design stages;life-cycle dynamic cost monitoring and cost control;variation orders management and interim payment arrangement and control;manage and work closely with development partner, consultants, etc.;contract management and monitor the performances of contractors;set up cost information database of american region;procurement managementset up procurement strategy for development projects, to procure and tender as per the procurement strategy;manage / assist to carry out procurement as required by other departments, coordinating all relevant departments, to ensure the procurement process is fully aligned with the company's cost and procurement policy.set up suppliers database and explore vendors in american region.monitor the performances of suppliers;job requirementsregistered/ chartered quantity surveyor / cost engineer (preferred)minimum 10 years of relevant development or project management experience in industrial and/or logistics projects (preferred) or real estate;strong understanding of local cost benchmark, local regulations, authority charges and legal requirements;familiar with international logistics real estate cost and procurement management, with a minimum of 3 full-cycle project experiences.has experience in using erp system of cost and procurement management;excellent interpersonal skills, written and oral communication abilities.seeks continuous improvement to the design and processes through consistently challenging the status quo or value engineering the optimum solution to all aspects of the development.high level of independence, initiative, accountability, cultural sensitivity, endurance, and adaptability, demonstrates excellent leadership to drive projects and is a team player.fluent in both english and spanish.seniority levelmid-senior levelemployment typefull-timejob functionaccounting/auditing, finance, and business developmentindustriessoftware development, transportation, logistics, supply chain and storage, and real estate
