the production manager – latam will lead and coordinate cross-functional departments, including operations, sales, production, retail, marketing, and creative teams, in the execution of exhibitions across the latam region. This role is responsible for planning, delivering, and managing multiple exhibitions, ensuring effective execution from inception to completion.
key responsibilities:
project management
1. manage the execution of exhibits and events from planning through completion, focusing on construction, production, cost savings, efficiency, and contract negotiation.
2. lead multiple exhibition projects simultaneously, continuously improving processes for higher quality and more effective results.
3. oversee timelines, project deliverables, and overall execution, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality.
coordination
1. coordinate and integrate efforts among operations, marketing, design, merchandising, and production departments to streamline workflows and optimize business processes.
2. advise production and operations teams on venue layout suitability for various events.
3. ensure seamless collaboration between logistics and production teams to meet project requirements effectively.
logistics management
1. plan and manage all logistical elements for exhibition setup, transportation, and dismantling across latam locations.
2. oversee shipping and customs clearance processes to ensure timely delivery of exhibition materials.
3. develop and implement contingency plans to address logistical challenges or delays.
production management
1. supervise the production process, ensuring adherence to quality standards and timelines.
2. collaborate with vendors and suppliers to procure necessary materials and services within budget.
3. monitor on-site production activities, ensuring efficient use of resources and compliance with safety protocols.
stakeholder management
1. build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, industry associations, and regulatory bodies.
2. negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to ensure profitability and manage vendor and contractor relationships to meet all obligations and deadlines.
budget and financial management
1. plan, control, and monitor budgets and operational costs to achieve financial objectives.
2. establish metrics and standards to evaluate company efficiency and effectiveness, identifying opportunities for improvement.
3. optimize cost structures across logistics, production, and operations to maximize roi.
qualifications
experience:
1. 5+ years of leadership experience in event environments with expertise in construction and production.
2. proven ability to analyze market trends, develop business strategies, and manage budgets effectively.
skills:
1. excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders and mentor team members.
2. strong business, financial, and analytical acumen, with executive-level presentation skills.
3. bilingual in spanish and english; portuguese is a plus.
other requirements:
1. ability to travel domestically and internationally (up to 20%).
