mission of the role
as a finance leadership development program associate on the operations finance track, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and driving key initiatives across our operations finance and regional finance functions. This unique position offers the opportunity to be a multi-faceted finance team contributor, tackling special projects that span a range of areas including commercial finance, treasury management, plant finance, data analytics, and more. The candidate will start by supporting investor relations and developing a skillset in data analytics for the first six months in the role. After this initial placement, the candidate will complete three operations finance rotations in commercial finance, plant controllership, regional fp&a, regional engineering, treasury operations, and/or other placements. The role will be part of the americas operations finance team and will be based at one of visteon’s corporate offices in chihuahua, mexico.
key objectives of this role
* gain a broad understanding of operations finance functions with an ability to “plug-in-play” into various functions based on career goals and company need.
* develop data analytics skillsets to bring expertise into functions across regional finance team.
* lead and support special projects across various finance functions, ensuring timely completion and actionable insights.
* collaborate with the sales and finance teams to develop accurate and timely cash flow forecasts.
* assist in preparing materials for investor meetings, earnings calls, and other investor-related events.
* work closely with teams across the organization, ensuring alignment on project goals and deliverables.
* stay updated with industry trends, emerging financial tools, and best practices to bring innovative ideas to the table.

* performance in supporting budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
* successfully lead and support at one special project within the regional finance functions during the first rotation, ensuring they are completed on time and deliver actionable insights.
* completion of business intelligence & data analyst (bida) certification and select financial modeling and analysis courses through visteon's corporate finance training program with corporate finance institute.
qualification, experience and skills:
* 1 – 3 years of experience in corporate finance, management consulting, investment banking, or a related role.
* strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
* excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
* intermediate proficiency of powerpoint and excel including the ability to create ppt templates, external presentations, and 3-statement financial models.
* lifetime learner with a passion for developing both professionally and personally.
