The global business development & strategic partnerships executive will drive high-value sales, strategic partnerships, and revenue growth in the telecom industry. This role demands an expert in telecom sales and pre-sales, with a proven track record of closing deals with leading mnos, fixed broadband service providers, and strategic telecom accounts.
the right candidate must have experience with leading oems and strong regional connections across the telecom ecosystem, enabling them to build deep, long-term relationships with network operators, carriers, and infrastructure providers. This role will lead the go-to-market strategy, account growth initiatives, and sales execution for our telecom-managed services portfolio.
responsibilities
* sales & revenue growth: develop and execute a high-impact sales strategy to secure and expand relationships with mnos, fixed broadband service providers, and telecom infrastructure companies.
* deal structuring & closing: lead complex sales negotiations, securing multi-million-dollar contracts for 5g, ran, fiber, fwa, and managed services solutions.
* account management & expansion: manage key accounts, ensuring customer success while identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling telecom solutions.
* oem & partner engagement: build and maintain strategic alliances with leading oems, semiconductor companies, and chipset vendors to drive product innovation and market adoption.
* market development & regional strategy: leverage strong regional connections to identify new market opportunities and execute local go-to-market strategies.
* competitive analysis & product strategy: stay ahead of industry trends, providing insights on 5g network architecture, open ran, vran, wi-fi 6, xhaul, and rf technologies to shape product and business strategies.
* cross-functional leadership: work with product, engineering, and marketing teams to refine telecom offerings, ensuring a compelling value proposition for service providers and carriers.
* executive influence: present telecom solutions to c-suite executives, aligning business objectives with network evolution strategies.
qualifications
* experience: 10+ years in telecom sales, strategic account management, or business development with a strong track record in closing deals in telecom managed services.
* proven industry expertise: in-depth knowledge of mobility, 4g, 5g, ran core, broadband, fwa, ubr, fiber, and fixed wireless networks.
* oem experience: must have worked with leading oems.
* deal-making success: strong background in closing deals with mnos, fixed broadband providers, and major telecom infrastructure players.
* strategic relationships: established network of telecom executives, operators, and service providers across regions.
* technical & business acumen: strong understanding of 5g, lte, wi-fi 6, vran, soc/chipsets, and rf technologies. Ability to translate technical solutions into compelling business cases.
* financial & negotiation skills: experience structuring complex commercial agreements, assessing business risks, and driving revenue growth.
* sales leadership: ability to lead, mentor, and drive sales teams to exceed revenue targets.
* education: bachelor’s degree required in business, engineering, or telecommunications; mba preferred.
* travel: willingness to travel 25-30% internationally to maintain client and partner relationships.
