the corporate information solution (cis) department is seeking a application solution architect to join our team to be based in mexico office in a hybrid work environment.
what can you expect:
1. as an application solution architect within corporate information solutions, you will be responsible for driving/implementing solution architecture best practice across our cis teams
2. reporting to the head of cis shared services enterprise architect, you will provide technical expertise, strategic direction and thought mentorship to our team of global solution architects, technical leads and software engineers enabling them to deliver solutions aligned with our technical strategy.
3. you will collaborate with stakeholders across our organization, contributing towards the successful delivery of business goals whilst adhering to technical strategy, driving innovation promoting reuse through effective solution design
4. in addition, you will be responsible for managing the technical domain architecture across the cis application portfolio.

5. work with our partners to understand business and technology problems or opportunities
6. provide process, guidance and governance on technology obsolescence, component re-use and platform modernization
7. design, document and communicate solution designs that accommodate the agile principles of fail fast and provide the resilience necessary to accommodate changing and fluid requirements
8. incorporate reuse, standardization and security-by-design into your solution designs to simplify, secure and accelerate technology delivery
9. be innovative in your design thinking and use your expertise to influence the technology roadmap
10. take your architectural designs through our on boarding processes to ensure they meet standards and conventions
11. participate in architecture reviews as part of architecture assurance process
12. provide technical expertise on key initiatives that have a departmental impact (such cloud acceleration program)
13. stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices in solution architecture
14. demonstrate end-to-end ownership of problems, a proactive attitude towards learning, and a commitment to acquiring any necessary knowledge to ensure the success of your team.

what you need to have:
18. proven experience 8+ years as a solution architect with hands-on experience in solution design
19. an expert understanding of solution architecture standards and best practices
20. extensive experience designing solutions and working prototypes that can be rapidly built, tested and deployed using agile best practices
21. led complex technical design projects and products with many stakeholders
22. excellent relationship building skills, including the ability to influence and collaborate with senior business and technology partners
23. advanced communication skills at all levels, including the ability to convey complex technical strategy and obstacles to senior business and technology partners
24. in-depth knowledge of modern software architectures, including microservices, apis, cloud computing, data insights and modernisation patterns
