*brand manager dm (distributor markets)*
*purpose of the role*
directly responsible for setting the strategic direction and ensure flawless execution of marketing initiatives related to in-market consumer strategy and brand equity in distributor markets (caribbean and micronesia markets), to protect and further accelerate gfbs sales volume & som growth opportunities across these markets.
*areas of responsibility*
- development of the brands portfolio and pricing strategies based on consumer centricity, hq guidelines, best practices and market dynamics in order to increase brands performance (volume and som) and roi, monitoring performance and suggesting corrective actions.
ensures the translation of portfolio and brands into detailed channel plans, including segmentation and category management.
supervise allocation of spending by geographies and across channels in order to meet brand objectives.
- develop and implement all elements of the marketing mix, including product development, above-the-line (atl) and below-the-line (btl) communication, and consumer activation programs, in alignment with brand objectives, positioning, global jti guidelines, and market restrictions.
coordinate with internal teams and handle third parties (agencies, suppliers) to ensure timely implementation and high-quality execution of processes and initiatives.
supervise and report on key performance indicators (critical metrics) and provide recommendations for performance improvement.
- partner with the strategic insights (si) team to develop market models and conduct research projects that provide consumer-oriented insights to enhance jti brand equity.
monitor consumer and market trends as well as competitor activities.
- work with sales, trade marketing, demand planning, and finance to conduct various analyses focusing on volume, distribution performance, pricing, and trends.
provide timely insights to management and distribution partners regularly and as needed.
- lead the brands product and packaging initiatives jointly with extended teams and in close coordination with the npd manager.
make sure detailed project timelines are met for every product initiative (phw changes, pack/product rejuvenations, product launches, leps, etc) and help coordinate and align all the activities with corresponding stakeholders in order to ensure a timely development and launch of such initiatives.
this task involves having a good understanding of plm system activities, r&d and gsc processes.
- define and lead the annual marketing investment budget across markets, brands, and programs.
ensure compliant execution and timely reporting, with appropriate phasing and allocation.
oversee contracts and the purchase order approval process for third parties (agencies, suppliers) in accordance with jti standards and procedures.
*who are we looking for - requirements*
- bachelor degree or equivalent experience preferably in marketing / business administration (required).
- mba or equivalent educational background (desirable).
- validated experience of 5+ years in fmcg brand management (tobacco industry knowledge is a plus).
- remarkable communication skills, fluent english & spanish.
- advanced skills in microsoft office - particularly excel and powerpoint.
