the smt specialist engineer (pick and place) is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the electronic control unit (ecu) production process. This critical role involves leading a team of local technicians and ensuring the efficient implementation of new surface-mount technology (smt) equipment.
Key responsibilities include:
- provide strategic leadership to a team of local technicians, ensuring optimal support for ecu production operations.
- oversee the implementation and integration of new surface mount device (smd), through-hole (th), and back-end (be) machines, guaranteeing seamless incorporation into existing production lines.
- develop and refine specialized software and programs essential for the successful launch of new products, with a focus on meeting stringent customer quality requirements, minimizing costs, and maximizing manufacturability.
- establish and maintain rigorous process specifications to ensure consistent product quality and operational efficiency.
- implement continuous performance improvement initiatives and cost reduction strategies within the area of responsibility, driving operational excellence and maintaining competitiveness.
- collaborate with cross-functional and cross-sites teams to address complex technical challenges and implement innovative solutions in ecu smt production processes.
- ensure strict adherence to automotive industry standards and quality control measures throughout all stages of production in area of responsibilities.
*profile*:
- bachelor's degree in industrial, mechatronics, mechanical, electrical, or electronic engineering.
- 5+ years experience in automotive industry, including 3+ years in ecu production and launching ecu lines.
- 3+ years experience in automotive quality standards, process & maintenance engineering
- proven experience troubleshooting smt (fuji technology) lines with ct
