primary purpose
• lead the effective implementation of human resources strategies and policies for the operations of manufacturing as to enable the achievement of the expected business results.
• act as a business partner to the plant management, counselling and coaching on how to obtain the best contribution and engagement from the workers and staff while complying with the contrato ley, labor laws and company policies.
• implement and organize the effective operation of hr functions such as recruitment and selection, personnel administration, benefits and compensation, employee and labor relations, talent management, performance, development and succession, property security, community relations, social activities, engagement and internal climate.
• provide coaching and mentoring primarily to hr staff ensuring people development and creating the "one team" culture in the plant.
principle duties and responsibilities
• properly plan and staff the organization for the execution of the business plan.
• implement development plans to retain best talent and promote engagement and delivery of results.
• ensure compliance with contrato ley, country labor laws, company policies, and business conduct standards.
• drive labor relations and the development of labor agreements with unions, negotiation teams, and authorities to allow a sustainable and competitive operation.
• orchestrate hr functions to develop an engaged workforce supporting the competitive and sustainable operation of the organization. Promote operation excellence culture and teamwork environment in the organization.
• this position has the responsibility to ensure the establishment of the quality policy and the quality management systems with the respective integration of the business requirements. Likewise, they must help, communicate, and support all activities that contribute to the effectiveness of the quality management system; promoting a process-oriented approach and risk-based thinking to achieve expected results and continuous improvement.
education
required: bachelor's degree in administration, human resources, engineering, or psychology. Spanish and fluent and advanced command of english.
desired: postgraduate or master's in human resources. Business analysis and kpi's in business and hr.
experience
• minimum of 3 years generalist experience in human resources and talent management in a global company (500+ associates) preferred.
• demonstrated, measurable improvements in staffing, people development, talent management training, and compensations.
desired: experience in the automotive manufacturing environment.
knowledge & skills
• strong knowledge of federal labor law, social security law, and all labor regulations. Desired knowledge in contrato ley.
