Document ingestion is a top priority for chubb. We are looking for an innovative, results-oriented data engineer who has an ambition to contribute to the success of our document ingestion program. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, creative, and they will be able to independently contribute to our major strategic initiative.
you will be responsible for contributing to the development and launch of solutions across the domain and/or platform, supporting our overall strategy by helping define product features, helping build system architecture, and spearheading the best practices that enable a quality product.
this position's location is in san pedro garza garcia, nuevo leon, will be worked a hybrid work from home scheme (3 days at the office).
the ideal candidate should have knowledge of object-oriented analysis, design and development (ooa/ood) and the j2ee framework and data structures, experience building and consuming the rest and soap web services using java, microservices using spring boot, knowledge on cicd jenkins pipeline and jira, and experience in version control tools like git/svn. Strong understanding of relational databases (writing sql/stored procedures).

* assist in the development of an analysis and design methodology, ensuring an agile implementation process that adheres to established standards and release cycles.
requirements
* education in business, data, engineering, mathematics or information management.
* 3+ years of data science, technology, or insurance domain experience or a combination of both.
* experience developing software/automation solutions using java (java, spring boot and/or quarkus frameworks, jvm internals, junit, javascript, apache camel) and python.
* experience with cloud computing, azure, aks, python, and java-based microservices.
* good sql and familiarity with relational databases.
* exposure to devops, ci/cd (jenkins, jira, terraform, ansible, docker, etc.).
* comfort in a dynamic and fast-moving work environment.
* excellent verbal, written & interpersonal communication skills.
* proven ability as a structured, logical thinker.
* bonus points for experience in:
o informatica
o selenium
o databricks
o machine learning
o spark
o familiarity with web technologies (angular framework, mvc, soap web services, rest apis, kafka, mq, git, tfs, and/or devops tools).
o insurance domain or financial services in general.
