portuguese is a plus.- knowledge of accounting and auditing principles (gaap).
*expected contributions*- monitor hotel progress on balance sheet reconciliation in quickbase (reconciliation tool).- ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (sops) and gaap.- participate in calls with external auditors to review and discuss hotel balance sheets.- follow up on audit findings to ensure they have been remediated.- perform hotel auto allocation setup in collaboration with hotel directors of finance and conduct monthly reviews to ensure accuracy.- provide training and ongoing support to properties.- update monthly reports and dashboards.
*skills and knowledge*- understanding of hotel operations and finance processes, including p&ls, reconciliations, balance sheets, and controls.- excellent interpersonal and communication skills.- strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.- self-starter with the ability to identify needs and take independent action.- customer-service oriented with effective listening skills.- capability to work as part of a multicultural remote team and collaborate with regional and property stakeholders.- high proficiency in microsoft office products and the ability to manipulate large amounts of data; experience with business analytics (bi) is preferred.- approximately 10% business travel required.- marriott international is an equal opportunity employer.
