key responsibilities:
* oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with us gaap.
* e nsure compliance with sox (sarbanes-oxley act) requirements, including maintaining proper internal controls and documentation.
* manage all aspects of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring financial accuracy and completeness.
* collaborate with operational teams to analyze manufacturing costs, inventory valuation, and production variances.
* establish and monitor key financial and operational metrics for a manufacturing profile, including costing, production efficiency, and materials usage.
* lead and develop the accounting team, ensuring proper training and adherence to accounting policies and procedures.
* manage audits and liaise with external auditors to ensure compliance with sox and us gaap.
* drive process improvements to enhance financial reporting accuracy and operational efficiency in a manufacturing setting.
* prepare and present financial reports and analysis to senior management, providing insights into operational performance and financial health.
* support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
requirements:
* fluent spoken english is mandatory
* bachelor's degree in accounting; cpa preferred.
* 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including manufacturing industry experience.
* strong knowledge of us gaap and sox compliance requirements.
* proven experience in cost accounting, inventory management, and operational finance within a manufacturing profile.
* excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to partner cross-functionally.
* proficiency in erp systems and advanced excel skills.
* strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
