Creates and promotes a safety culture amongst team members.- direct and manage plant operations for production, maintenance; supports quality, shipping and receiving.- implement and champion processes to support rieke's operational excellence framework for performance excellence. Ensure team members are trained and adhere to processes and policies on a daily basis.- drive continuous improvement within the organization.- coordinate plant activities through the planning with departmental managers to ensure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.- implement cost effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, inventory, manpower, wages and salaries.- manage capital asset maintenance.- establish and monitor overall plant performance for on-time delivery, production and quality standards through proven data driven metrics for all responsible departments.- control and minimize labor overtime, premium freight, scrap, rework and repair expenses.- maintain existing plant facilities and equipment; replace or make adjustments to plant facilities and equipment when necessary.- implements and maintains preventative maintenance programs.- ensures that there is daily, weekly and monthly structure around shop floor schedules, demand/supply plan, and tracking of production performance.- lead implementation of lean manufacturing techniques to support performance objectives.- lead implementation of new products and projects, including on-site technical support at filler trials
