job overview
te connectivity's financial controlling teams coordinate, administer, and control financial operations. They review, analyze, and interpret financial and budgetary reports, direct all aspects of accounting operations and the preparation of annual financial forecasts. They also oversee the development of financial accounting systems required to maintain reporting requirements.
what your background should look like:
activities:
1. supervises all financial operations and directs corporate financial planning.
2. prepares the short and long-term financial forecasts of the financial operation for use with internal and external management.
3. supervises audits and functions related to the determination and application of taxes, coordinates activities with external tax and transfer pricing firms as well as auditing and reviews their performance.
4. develops, executes and maintains accounting policies and administrative procedures for a vast system of activities including financial accounting, reports and other corporate policies.
5. skill in all aspects of corporate accounting and all rules relevant to compliance with accounting principles (gaap) and regulations including compliance with sarbanes-oxley.
6. ensures the effectiveness of the information systems services applicable in finance with support from the company's systems area.
7. closing coordination of the month (fiscal), and communicate alerts for possible financial risks.
8. analysis for waste prevention in relation to manufacturing.
requirements:
1. 7 to 9 years of experience in a similar role.
2. advanced english.
3. sap and hfm knowledge for month closing activities.
4. no need-to-know macro pro and sistema de seguimiento (local erp’s), but very open to learn about them, and do manual analysis for sap reconciliations.
5. budget and fcst experience.
6. interaction with shared services from all over the world, including switzerland, costa rica, us, and mexico.
7. high knowledge of excel to manually populate information. Innovative, proactive, team member, able to work under pressure and in a volatile environment.
8. legal entity reporting experience.
9. manufacturing variances, labor efficiency/utilization reporting.
10. experience with transfer pricing and intercompany transactions, supervised accounts payable to us vendors.
