As a bom engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the completeness and quality of the bill of materials (bom) throughout the change management process and during prototype builds. Your responsibilities will include:
responsibilities:
* coordination and quality assurance: ensure that the bom is complete and accurate, supporting the seamless execution of change management processes.
* impact analysis: monitor and track the impact of changes on material costs, weight, and investment from the early stages through to program approval.
* collaboration with prototype purchasing: work closely with the prototype purchasing team to qualify the prototype bom, facilitating the initiation of the prototype sourcing process.
* support for prototype fit process: ensure the bom aligns with the design intent and is accurately represented in the product lifecycle management (plm) system, ensuring that prototypes fit and function as intended.
* data integrity: maintain and update the bom in the plm system (tce), ensuring that all changes are reflected accurately and in a timely manner.
your expertise will be vital in aligning design intent with physical prototypes, contributing to the overall success of product development and approval processes. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments.

* engineering degree.
* english proficiency.
* pc / 3d cad desirable / pdm systems knowledge (windows / catia v5 / teamcenter engineering/3dx).
* microsoft office management (word, excel, and power point).
* expert in microsoft excel desirable (macros, vb coding).
* ability to analyze complex problems and assess possible solutions.

* provide early bom system, change management process and change management form (cmf) tool training to customers (design and release engineer, finance, etc.).
* lead and achieve product direction letter (pdl) alignment in early bom based on team information bulletins (tib).
* drive cmf resolution, tracking and development of cost, weight and investment changes in early bom system including troubleshooting.
* manage road maps, risks & opportunities generation and on time disposition.
* create and maintain cost, weight and investment tracking file in order to preserve change history.
* manage reports (cost, weight and investment) to provide accurate and updated information.
* lead change control meeting. Assure agenda content and key players’ participation.
* support decision forums and program meetings.
* request and validate that the prototype bom file for active program is created with accurate data.
* develop a work plan for prototype bom file management, start date, cadence and interaction model with purchasing, engineering and program management teams.
* understand upcoming build module requirements and the impact to bom / purchasing system blanket order requirements.
* follow up issues on prototype bom and contact the responsible/owner of the part(s) so all required information is entered in the prototype bom.
* update purchasing comments with the latest causal codes and drive resolution of all engineering issues required to progress purchasing system blanket orders (both qualified and non-qualified parts).
* review and analyze all changes in the early bom system to determine the proper action in the plm system to maintain systems aligned.
