Overview:
this position is responsible to establish and maintain effective employee relations through the uniform and equitable application of organization policies, procedures, and employment law.
responsibilities:
* extensive shop floor coverage.
* advising supervisors and managers on methods and approaches to resolve employee work problems.
* policy interpretation and implementation.
* conduct investigations.
* oversight of human resources administrative functions.
* benefits administration.
* oversight of payroll functions.
* recruitment.
* facilitation of employee meetings.
* training and development of exempt and non-exempt staff.
qualifications:
* bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a human resources-related field, plus a minimum of two years human resources experience in one or more of the following areas: employment, benefits, employee relations, training and development, eeoc, osha or fmla regulations.
* must be able to work overnight shifts.
* excellent oral, verbal and written communication skills.
* strong analytical and decision-making skills.
* proficient with microsoft excel, word, powerpoint, and windows.
* advanced english level required.
