Senior field service engineer for drives
this position reports to
service operations manager
your role and responsibilities
in this role, you will have the opportunity to execute service work of medium to high complexity as per work instructions and abb guidelines. Each day, you will deliver excellent customer service to satisfy customers. You will also showcase your expertise by working with customers to identify opportunities in the installed base, to improve system performance and operational performance. The work model for the role is: #li-hybrid. This role is contributing to the motion service business area in mexico. You will be mainly accountable for:
1. contributing to customer satisfaction by planning and executing service work as per customer order and expectations.
2. ensuring customer retention by delivering superior customer experience and effectively communicating service work timeline and expectations.
3. taking actions to identify new service business opportunities for abb, in close cooperation with customers and other abb teams.
4. coaching technicians and engineers and supervising complex site activities.
qualifications for the role
* you have 3+ years of experience in predictive and preventive maintenance of frequency converters (drives).
* ability to demonstrate your technical knowledge in electric motors and generators in low, medium and high voltage.
* have established skills in the use and management of laser aligners, vibration analyzers, thermographic analysis, management of pdma electrical measurement equipment.
* you are at ease communicating in english at an intermediate level.
* you have availability to travel. A valid driver’s license is desirable.
* bachelor’s degree in automation, electronic, electromechanical engineering or related field.
