*about this opportunity*:we are now looking for a sr. Ems test engineer, who will be first line support for ems site supporting implemented test process for new developed or transferred products, to support production test yield improvement & test time reduction, to maintain or improve test equipment performance, which includes driving rca for test equipment or process related issues and optimize test maintenance process.
The main responsibilities are providing test related technical support towards ericsson products in volume production and npi (new product introduction) /gpi (global product introduction) /tpi (transfer product introduction) projects:
- support design for test (dft) review, test solutions and test processes definition for gpi/tpi and volume production.
- support ems to coordinate capacity ramps up of existing operations, support tpi and sustained maintenance.
- work with ems stakeholders to continuously improve test productivity in the whole manufacturing process by shortening test time, increasing test yield, and optimizing test process.
- clarify test instruction and maintenance instruction for test operation. Provide preventive maintenance solutions to ems test support technicians.
- take test leading responsibilities to support ems to set up their own production test competence, overall control and monitor their test related issues.
- support reliability test activities for volume production.
- other test or verification assignments from lead site, pdu and efa.
*what you will do*:
- support rollout of new developed product test.
- participate in (dft) review in npi phase.
- support ptd (product test design) to develop and verify test solutions.
- support spare parts and wear parts for test equipment & advise on production line implementation.
- coordinate capacity ramp up of existing operations. Support tpi and sustained maintenance.
- provide sustaining support to volume production during and after project handover to ems.
- provide technical analysis on test yield loss, identify the test yield related issues and make improvement solution and assess the quality risk on product or production test software for project decision.
- support preventive and remedy maintenance solutions on test equipment to ensure equipment up time with ems teams.
- clarify test instruction and maintenance instruction for test equipment, support ems training and certification of test technicians / operators.
- support the root cause analysis for test related production yield loss.
- support failure analysis for products failed on customer sites, ems production and in the manufacturing process in the supply chain.
- continuously improve test productivity in the whole manufacturing process including test time reduction, test yield and test equipment availability and stability improvement.
- support change request in production.
- provides technical support via lead site across other ess and ems factories.
- monitor calibration validation at ems, regularly review their test equipment status, test capacity and test related issues.
- coordinate the information share between lead site and ems, collect the requests and escalate to the designer after verification, distribute the good experience to all sites.
- support product type approval test, network access license test and other special test required by the regulator and/or operator
- future responsibility may include npi scope.
*you will bring*:
- bachelor’s degree or above in area of electrical engineering, telecommunications or similar technical field
- 5 years working supporting automated hw test systems in high-volume operations, continuously improving test productivity in the whole manufacturing process including test time reduction, test yield and test equipment availability and stability improvement
- experience with operation of rf measurement instruments such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers, digital mulit-meters (dmm) and oscilloscopes
- experience with sw & hw test systems installation, verifications, and maintenance
- experience with failure analysis for test failed in-house production and in manufacturing process (including no fault found) familiarity with monitoring manufacturing kpis such as yield, cp/cpk
- understanding of telecommunication systems and familiar with at least one of following areas such as transceiver, antenna, filter or power amplifier software coding skills (python scripting, etc) understanding statistical process control (spc) and data analysis concepts
- six sigma yellow belt is preferred
- familiar with ericsson tpi or volume project processes
- excellent english skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing
